Yes, multipliers are everywhere except in most critiques of tariffs (from both the right and left), but isn't that the way we should be looking at them? Not do they cut growth or economic efficiency, because *all* taxes do both, but what is the growth effect per dollar of tax revenue raised? And they seem to be a winning tax on that measure.
